CAA-Québec praises Mazda’s unlimited-mileage warranty, still one of a kind

More than a decade after launch, the program remains an outlier in the North American market.

CAA-Québec highlighted Mazda Canada’s leading position on buyer protection in an analysis published July 23, 2026. More than a decade after its launch, Mazda’s unlimited-mileage warranty program remains an exception in the North American market, where most automakers cap coverage at a fixed distance.

The coverage in detail

CAA-Québec’s independent analysis ranks Mazda’s offering among the industry’s strongest: a 3-year, unlimited-mileage new vehicle limited warranty; a 5-year, unlimited-mileage powertrain warranty; a 5-year, unlimited-mileage hybrid and EV systems warranty; 3-year, unlimited-mileage roadside assistance; and 7-year, unlimited-mileage rust perforation protection.

A real advantage for high-mileage drivers

“Thanks to its unlimited-mileage program, Mazda continues to stand out, and CAA-Québec can only applaud this distinction, which is far from negligible for consumers,” said Maxime Dubois, columnist and mobility expertise project lead at CAA-Québec. For Quebec dealerships and commercial fleet managers, the warranty removes the financial risk tied to high-mileage drivers — sales reps or delivery drivers covering 40,000 to 50,000 km a year keep full coverage. Amy Fleming, President and CEO of Mazda Canada, reiterated that the policy reflects the brand’s confidence in the durability of its vehicles.
