Lately, I’ve been thinking about how closely gratitude, change and leadership are connected.
Leading Through Uncertainty
Not the polished, highlight-reel kind of leadership, but the kind that shows up when things feel uncertain. When roles shift. When expectations change. When you’re asked to build something that no longer quite looks like what you set out to build.
Our industry is going through that moment right now. Electrification, the labour shortage, consolidation, new technology — the aftermarket is no longer the one we knew five years ago.
Gratitude as an Anchor
Through all of it, gratitude has been my anchor. Not because everything is easy, but because even in tense times, there is always something to learn, something to refine and something to be thankful for.
I’m grateful for the moments that push me out of my comfort zone, and for the people who challenge me to think differently. And I’m also grateful for the quiet clarity that comes once the noise settles.
Getting Back to What Matters
Change has a way of stripping things back to what actually matters. It forces us to ask better questions: What do we stand for? Where do we add the most value? Are we leading — or just reacting?
Because real leadership isn’t about titles or certainty. It’s about showing up with clarity, accountability and a willingness to evolve. Sometimes that means leaning in. Sometimes it means letting go. Often, it means doing both at once.
Growing Through Change
If you’re in a season of change, you’re not alone. At Auto-Gestion, we’re right there with you — and there’s growth ahead, even when it doesn’t feel like it yet.
