In Memory of Larry Jefferies: A True Pioneer of Canada’s Collision Repair Industry

Recently, Canada’s collision repair community lost one of its most influential builders. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Jefferies, a remarkable figure whose legacy will continue to resonate across the country.

Visionary, passionate, and deeply committed, Larry helped transform an industry that was once fragmented. With his vast experience and sharp business insight, he played a decisive role in modernizing and structuring the Canadian collision repair sector. Together with his partners at CARSTAR Canada, he fostered a culture of unity, collaboration, and shared purpose—connecting repair centers from coast to coast to coast.

Tireless on the road, Larry traveled across the nation meeting franchisees, partners, and industry stakeholders, always driven by a desire to help others see further, build stronger, and believe in a collective future.

Beyond his position as Executive Vice President of CARSTAR Canada, Larry was also a key contributor to the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF), which he chaired twice. Through his leadership and inspiring presence, he brought professionals together around common goals and helped advance the industry as a whole.

But more than his titles or achievements, it was his humanity that touched everyone who knew him. Always willing to share his knowledge, mentor entrepreneurs, or lend a helping hand, Larry supported the growth of many successful businesses and inspired countless careers.

His influence is felt, directly or indirectly, by everyone involved in this wonderful industry. Larry was a mentor to many people in the field, including me, Rémy Rousseau. He will be remembered as a generous man and a pioneer whose passion paved the way for generations of professionals.
