Marie-Josée Paquin is the General Manager of Groupe JD Quenneville, which was founded by her husband Jean-Denis. Within the five companies owned by the Group, she brilliantly meets the challenges of her position and even manages to mentor women garage owners.
A SUCCESSFUL ADAPTATION
Marie-Josée shares her experience of seven years at Pièces d’Auto Alain Côté: “I was used to serving customers; since I joined the Group (April 2024), it’s our companies that need me. I have to be available at all times.” She is constantly on the lookout for upcoming innovations to stay on the cutting edge of technology. “The most important thing for us in the Group is that everyone is happy. That’s even our motto in our workshops.”
AN EXPANDING COMPANY
This year, the Quenneville Group has acquired the Gaétan and Marc Leroux garage. The Group also owns outdoor recreation stores specializing in mountain and road bikes. These shops repair and sell these and many other products. The scope of Marie-Josée’s work is quite large: purchasing of all kinds, administration, supplier relations, training, internal programs and human resources.
THE MENTORING ADVENTURE
Nine months ago, it was suggested to her that she could mentor women mechanic shop owners by giving them advice. “With the years of experience I’ve accumulated, mentoring is a role I can take on. I do it face-to-face, virtually or by telephone.”
Marie-Josée Paquin’s commitment to helping others and her ability to manage multiple responsibilities shows a leader devoted to the collective success and well-being of her team. She even supports the project of her daughter Léa’s 9-year-old friend, helping her to publish the children’s book that she authored.
