As part of its brand transformation following its acquisition by Mavis Tire Express Services Corp., Midas unveiled two new national store design standards on July 23, 2026: Contemporary Industrial and Urban Modern. Both concepts will apply to all new franchise builds and facility renovations across its footprint of more than 1,200 locations in Canada and the U.S.
Two designs, one goal
Contemporary Industrial targets high-density suburban corridors with high-contrast exterior branding, while Urban Modern caters to urban commercial zones with retail-inspired interiors. Both layout templates incorporate a standard six-bay floorplan featuring a dedicated Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) calibration bay.
What it means for franchisees
“Driven by customer and franchisee insights, these new store designs offer better bay visibility, larger waiting areas, and cleaner operational workflow,” said Lenny Valentino Jr., President and COO of Midas International. The first ground-up Contemporary Industrial site is scheduled for completion in early 2027 — one to watch for Midas franchisees in Quebec planning a renovation or new build.
