This meeting, which was held on May 15 in Drummondville, achieved its objectives. We spoke with Sabrina Charron, Director of Operations at RECYC-QUÉBEC since 2023. She is responsible for Quebec’s Scrap Tire Management Program.
The importance of tariffs
Each year, a special effort is made to renew the content presented, with a variety of speakers who address relevant current topics. “For example,” says Sabrina Charron, “during this edition we talked about the issues of tariffs from a political point of view, allowing participants to better understand how to navigate the regulatory intricacies. This was a theme that generated a lot of interest.”
“The conferences organized at this event are designed to promote the exchange of knowledge and viewpoints within the used tire industry,” explains the Director of Operations. This framework for discussion also generated fruitful interactions between professionals, illustrating the importance of public and government relations in this automotive sector.
Economy and ecology
This annual event, which brought together 40 industry stakeholders, also highlighted innovative themes such as the circular economy, financial aid, research and development projects and international tire management. These discussions aim to encourage sustainable practices within the tire industry, while strengthening networks among the people who are part of it.
At the end of the day, participants enjoyed the networking cocktail reception, an ideal time to exchange with the main stakeholders from the tire industry in Quebec.
