ACX Continues Its Expansion in Western Canada With Its Latest Acquisition

Press release : ACX

ACX continues its expansion with the acquisition of Doug’s Place Southgate in Edmonton, Alberta. Doug’s Place Southgate was established in 1989. At the time, it was an extension of the original Strathcona location, which was acquired by ACX in 2025. As a result of the acquisition, Doug’s Place Southgate will now be known as ACX Southgate.

ACX Southgate currently holds 10 OEM certifications, including Subaru, Ford, Honda/Acura and Toyota. Over the years, the business has built a strong reputation within the Edmonton community for its high-quality collision repairs and customer service. This reputation is supported by a highly skilled local team.

ACX plans to build on these strong foundations by investing in new systems and equipment and adding new OEM certifications. At the same time, ACX will retain the existing team and maintain the commitment to quality that customers have come to expect.

“We are really excited to add the second Doug’s Place location to our growing platform,” said Art Crawford, President of ACX. “Having already worked with this team, we know that we are adding an excellent facility and highly experienced people to our already impressive team.”

Doug’s Place has always believed that staying at the top requires continuous improvement, adaptation and readjustment. Joining ACX is part of that approach, with new investments in the facility, its team and the quality of its repairs.

ACX continues to seek high-performing collision repair businesses to join its growing platform. Any collision centre owner interested in learning more about ACX can contact the team.
