In the run-up to the federal election, AIA Canada has set up a new digital platform on archesecondairevote.ca. Its objective is to give a voice to its members and to companies in the automotive service and repair industry on major issues such as the right to repair. This platform provides resources for direct communication with candidates in various ridings across the country.
The automotive service and repair industry is at a turning point. MPs and candidates are proactively engaging with businesses and residents in their communities, creating an ideal opportunity to promote policies that will ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the country’s automotive service and repair sector.
This platform allows automotive service and repair professionals to take part in the industry’s advocacy, by communicating with or meeting directly with their constituency candidates.
Meet your candidates:
MarcheSecondaireVote.ca provides you with the resources and support you need to meet candidates and leave a lasting impression. After introducing the company, its location, its employees and the services it offers Canadian consumers, members can consult AIA Canada’s talking points. These are designed to guide dialogue with key messages relating to our demands to government. These include support for the right to redress
repair, combating vehicle theft and alleviating labor shortages in the industry.
Write to your candidates:
This online platform provides additional resources to ensure that the voice of the automotive service and repair industry is carried further through written letters. Visitors can send candidates a personalized letter written by AIA Canada with their signature. In addition, the site includes a downloadable presentation document summarizing talking points, policy positions and tips on organizing face-to-face meetings with local candidates to discuss issues relevant to the automotive service and repair sector.
The impact of your participation
We’re asking for your support to ensure that automotive service and repair industry issues are brought to the forefront of discussions during the election campaign.
