AutoCanada Expands Edmonton Footprint with Acquisition of Doug’s Place Strathcona

AutoCanada Inc.’s collision division, ACX, has announced the acquisition of Doug’s Place Strathcona, a long-standing collision and refinish facility in Edmonton. This purchase strengthens AutoCanada’s footprint in the region, boosts capacity, and enhances its relationships with OEMs and insurers.

The acquisition comes shortly after AutoCanada Collision Centres rebranded its operations to ACX, marking a significant milestone in the company’s evolution. This new brand identity reflects a renewed focus on innovation, excellence, and customer satisfaction across its collision, hail, and auto services operations.

Located near four AutoCanada dealerships, the addition positions the company to capture greater repair volume and deliver broader service coverage across Edmonton. “We’re thrilled to join forces with ACX! For over 50 years, our success has been built on earning community trust through quality and care,” said Jack De Sena, director of fixed operations at Doug’s Place. The facility holds OEM certifications from Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and others, and participates in major insurer repair programs. Following the acquisition, the shop will be rebranded as ACX Doug’s Place, further solidifying AutoCanada’s presence in the Edmonton collision repair market.
