AutoCanada launches a strategic review of its ACX collision division and acquires two centres in British Columbia

The group evaluates all options to maximize ACX’s value while continuing its Greater Vancouver expansion

AutoCanada Inc. surprised the industry the week of October 7-12, 2026, with two seemingly contradictory announcements. On October 7, the group announced that a special committee of independent directors would conduct a comprehensive strategic review of its collision operations under the ACX banner to evaluate alternatives to maximize the division’s value for AutoCanada and its shareholders. On October 12 — five days later — AutoCanada confirmed the acquisition of two new collision centres in the Greater Vancouver area. According to information published in Auto Remarketing Canada, the strategic review may lead to a sale, partnership, or other alternatives. For competing collision networks in Canada, this process presents a potential window of significant acquisition opportunity. The ACX division now has more than 30 active centres across Canada, with a strong presence in Ontario and British Columbia.
