Last week, Yves Thibert, Director of the Comité éducation Travail en équipement Motorisé du Montréal Métropolitain (CETEMMM), invited us to his annual partner appreciation lunch. Great food, great company, and above all, a reminder of why this kind of initiative truly makes a difference.
The concept is brilliantly simple: automotive industry companies contribute financially to the CETEMMM to support students in training. In return, they get the opportunity to meet graduating students directly, qualified young professionals, diploma in hand, ready to enter the workforce.
For a recruiter, it’s a goldmine. For a student, it’s a door opening at exactly the right moment.
The CETEMMM has been doing this work since the 90s: keeping a constant dialogue between vocational training centres and employers in the automotive services industry, ensuring that what’s taught in schools stays aligned with the real needs of the field. Internships, work-study programs, Gala Méritas… the organization is present wherever it matters.
We are proud to be part of this community as a media partner. This kind of collaboration deserves to be recognized and celebrated.
Thank you to Yves Thibert and the entire CETEMMM team for the warm invitation. See you next year.
