Electric Mobility Canada celebrates 20 years and looks ahead to EVVE 2027 in Montréal
Electric Mobility Canada (EMC) held its annual national conference, EVVE 2026, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, bringing together electric mobility industry leaders from across Canada and beyond. This year’s event also marked a significant milestone: the organization’s 20th anniversary.
Advancing Canada’s Electric Mobility Transition
The conference provided an opportunity to explore the policies, technologies, and partnerships shaping the future of sustainable transportation in Canada.
Among the featured speakers, Grand Chief Kyra Wilson of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs emphasized the importance of Indigenous leadership and collaboration. Manitoba’s Minister of Innovation and New Technology, Mike Moroz, and EMC Chair Stephanie Medeiros of Schneider Electric also contributed to the discussions.

Innovation, Technical Tours and Business Connections
Attendees participated in technical tours of several innovative facilities, including Red River College Polytechnic’s Notre Dame Campus, Winnipeg Transit, and the National Research Council’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility.
These visits offered valuable insights into electric vehicle training, zero-emission public transit operations, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
EVVE 2026 also introduced its first business-to-business (B2B) forum, creating opportunities for industry professionals to establish new connections and explore potential partnerships.
Meanwhile, Plug’n Drive offered complimentary electric vehicle test drives over two days, allowing participants to experience electric mobility firsthand.
Montréal to Host EVVE 2027
The conference also featured a special reception at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, celebrating EMC’s two decades of contributions to advancing electric mobility across Canada.
With EVVE 2026 now concluded, preparations are already underway for the next edition, which will take place in Montréal, Québec, in 2027.
EMC is inviting its members to participate in a local planning task force to help shape the upcoming conference. Members will contribute their expertise, local connections, sponsorship opportunities, and programming ideas.
