Behind every successful repair is an expertise acquired over the years, and some bodymen stand out for their excellence and passion for the profession. This is the case of Pierre Godin, a visionary entrepreneur who has been able to transform his ambition into a successful family business.
Family solidarity and commitment
Born in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Pierre Godin founded the Centre de Collision Saint-Jean in September 2001. According to him, this step was the most significant of his professional career. With the help of his children, Jean-Marc, Pierre-Luc, Mélanie and Benoît, he has built a solid and respected company in the field of bodywork.
Pierre has gained extensive experience in bodywork over the years, including as a finisher and painter. When he started his company, he already had 30 years of experience in this field. At the beginning, the company had only five employees and no partnership agreements. In 2013, thanks to the efforts of Mr. Godin and his team, both in terms of business and relationships, the number of employees more than tripled and the clientele continues to grow.
A solid and motivated up-and-coming generation
This seasoned entrepreneur looks to the future with a clear vision. He is thankful that his children Mélanie, Benoit and Pierre-Luc are gradually taking over, carrying on the fundamental values that have made the Centre de Collision St-Jean so successful. Mélanie is in charge of management and administration, while Benoît is the workshop manager as well as the appraiser. As for Pierre-Luc, he excels in production and preparation for painting in the workshop.
Over the years, the Centre de Collision St-Jean has received several awards and recognitions from the automotive industry and insurers. In addition, he has always been actively involved in different causes and is part of several social and charitable organizations.
Pierre Godin’s commitment and desire to pass on his expertise make him a role model for professionals in the collision repair industry. When he retires, he wants to remain active as an advisor in order to continue to pass on his knowledge.
