The 52nd edition of the show took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and featured a wide variety of exhibits.
40 Manufacturers in Attendance
For the 2026 edition of the show, only five manufacturers were absent — Acura, Honda, Mazda, Porsche, and Volkswagen. All other major automakers participated, and 56 vehicles were available for test drives, including 25 electric models that visitors could try without ever stepping outside.
Canada in the Spotlight Again
Similar to the Montreal Auto Show, Canada’s automotive industry was prominently on display. There was a dedicated exhibition honoring Gilles Villeneuve, as well as the return of the Arrow projects. These initiatives aim to highlight Canada’s industrial capabilities and expertise in transportation electrification to attract major players in the country’s energy transition. Two vehicles were showcased: the vector and the Borealis.
A Great Diversity of Displays
In addition to the many participating manufacturers, the Toronto Auto Show offered a range of exhibitions that appealed to visitors of all ages. Highlights included the Oblivion exhibit featuring cars from the 1980s and 1990s, The Vault showcasing exceptional and modified vehicles, and displays by toy brands such as LEGO and Mattel with full‑size models.
The Auto Show was also chosen to host the Canadian premieres of the Aston Martin Valhalla and the McLaren W1, alongside earlier icons like the McLaren P1 and the McLaren F1.
Record Attendance
Overall, the Toronto Auto Show once again drew a large crowd, with 374,678 visitors — a record number for the event.
