A Dana Incorporated veteran takes the helm of the global aftermarket division, in the role since July 6.
PHINIA has announced the appointment of Daniel Griffin as global vice president, aftermarket, effective July 6, 2026. Based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Griffin reports directly to Brady Ericson, President and CEO of PHINIA. He succeeds Neil Fryer, who will retire effective September 30 following a long-planned transition.
A career built at Dana
Griffin brings extensive global leadership experience, including a previous role as President of Global Aftermarket and Digital Solutions at Dana Incorporated. In his new role at PHINIA — spun off from Delphi Technologies’ fuel and ignition business — he takes full responsibility for the financial, operational and cultural performance of the global aftermarket division.
What it means for Canadian distributors
PHINIA, whose brands include Delphi in the aftermarket, maintains an active distribution network in Canada. Griffin’s arrival, bringing experience from a direct competitor (Dana/DRiV), could signal new strategic priorities for the aftermarket division — one to watch for Quebec distributors and wholesalers of PHINIA/Delphi parts.
