Toyota Canada records its best-ever July — the Woodstock-built RAV4 Hybrid surges 1,026%

With 65.8% of sales electrified, Toyota Canada confirms the hybrid revolution has fully arrived.

Toyota Canada published its July 2026 sales results on August 4, and the numbers are historic. The company recorded its best-ever July with 25,060 vehicles sold, up 8.8% year-over-year. Of those sales, 16,481 were electrified vehicles — a 47.5% year-over-year increase — representing 65.8% of total company sales for the month.

The RAV4 Hybrid: a 1,026% surge in one year

The month’s most spectacular figure belongs to the 2026 RAV4 Hybrid, assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada’s Woodstock, Ontario plant. With 4,550 units sold, the model surged 1,026.2% versus July 2025 — an explosion directly linked to the all-new 2026 generation’s transition to an exclusively hybrid lineup. The bZ recorded its best-ever July with 936 units (+84.3%), and the RAV4 family overall totalled 6,269 units (+13.8%).

A clear signal for Canada’s entire aftermarket

For Canadian service and collision shops, the rapid growth of Toyota electrified vehicles in the national vehicle fleet is a clear call to action. Hybrid-trained technicians and ADAS calibration equipment are becoming critical strategic assets. The Lexus Division contributed 3,011 units (+9.6%), with electrified models representing 59.3% of Lexus sales.
