Toyota Canada Inc. reported record results for the second quarter and June 2026. In June alone, the automaker sold 17,828 electrified vehicles, a spectacular 78.8% increase compared to June 2025. This result brings total electrified vehicle sales for the second quarter to 54,935 units — a new all-time high in the brand’s Canadian history.

TMMC Woodstock: quality recognized for the sixth time

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. (TMMC) received a Silver Award for manufacturing quality in the 2026 U.S. Initial Quality Study from J.D. Power. It marks the sixth J.D. Power distinction for the Woodstock, Ontario plant, which produces the RAV4 Hybrid and the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid — the flagship models of Toyota’s electrification wave in Canada.

An electrification strategy that continues to dominate

This double distinction — sales records paired with manufacturing quality recognition — confirms Toyota Canada’s position as the clear leader in electrification within the Canadian automotive market. For service and collision shops, the growing influx of RAV4 Hybrids and PHEVs into Canada’s vehicle fleet further reinforces the need to invest in appropriate training and equipment to service these vehicles effectively.
