To mark its 30th anniversary, UNIPIÈCE O.E.M. has been designated as the exclusive approved supplier of OEM automotive parts for Fix Network franchisees operating under the Fix Auto Collision and ProColor Collision banners in Quebec and Eastern Ontario.
Driven by the vision of its founder, Claude Zalac, UNIPIÈCE O.E.M. intends to take its unique OEM parts brokerage model even further—a model already well established in collision repair facilities across its markets.
30 years of expertise serving collision repairers
Founded in 1997 by Claude Zalac, UNIPIÈCE O.E.M. first emerged under the Fix Auto, ProColor and AUTOPRO banners before becoming a key player in the automotive industry.
The company conducts an average of 12,000 to 14,000 parts searches per year, supported by a team of three experienced specialists in its back-ordered (B/O) parts research department, as well as nine field brokers, most of whom are seasoned former parts managers with extensive industry experience.
This expertise ensures seamless communication between its network of 338 dealerships and collision repair facilities, while providing the company with an indepth understanding of the challenges shops face every day.
UNIPIÈCE O.E.M. also offers a range of services, including a lifetime warranty on parts, reimbursement for courtesy vehicles, replacement of similar parts and more—an uncommon level of commitment in the industry.
A strategic partnership
The partnership with Fix Network is part of a broader strategy focused on growth. For Claude Zalac, the vision and drive of Steve Leal, a central figure within the network, played a decisive role.
“This agreement will quickly improve Fix Network’s cycle time,” Claude Zalac noted when the new partnership was signed. According to Zalac, the agreement will enable collision repairers to save both time and money, while also helping improve satisfaction among insurers and their customers through much faster delivery of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts.
Challenges, innovation and ”911 mode”
“With 18 brokers and a national presence, UNIPIÈCE O.E.M. and UNIPARTS O.E.M. are constantly operating in ‘911
mode,’” says Claude Zalac.
Always proactive, the organization works to meet even the most demanding needs of collision repair facilities.
Its greatest achievement, according to Zalac, remains its ability to locate hard-to-find parts and overcome the limitations of conventional supply networks, with a success rate of more than 50%.
With this partnership, UNIPIÈCE O.E.M. and Fix Network are helping set a new standard for parts procurement
in Quebec and Eastern Ontario. By combining the agility and expertise of an experienced OEM parts broker
with the strength of a major collision repair network, the two organizations are building a model in which speed,
reliability and innovation are at the forefront.
