– The future of the autobody repair industry received a powerful boost as enthusiastic students from Fanshawe College participated in CARSTAR Day, a dynamic, hands on experience aimed at showcasing the opportunities available in collision repair and celebrating the strong partnership between CARSTAR and Ontario’s leading colleges.
The day began with an engaging presentation that introduced students to CARSTAR Academy and the company’s long-standing legacy of innovation, quality, and career development. Students were taken on a “Keys to Keys” walkthrough, a full journey of the repair process from initial inspection to the final vehicle delivery, highlighting the skill, detail, and passion involved in every step of the trade.
In the afternoon, the event shifted into high gear with an interactive hands-on demo, led in collaboration with Collision 360, giving students a real-world taste of industry techniques and cutting edge tools used in the field today.
“This kind of engagement is exactly what the industry needs,” said Collin Welsh, Senior Director, Ontario Region, CARSTAR Canada. “By giving students a real look at the rewarding, fast-paced world of collision repair, we’re not only opening doors—we’re helping them see a future they can get excited about. We’re proud to invest in the next generation of technicians, shop managers, and industry leaders.”
CARSTAR extends its gratitude to Fanshawe College, Collision 360, Collin Welsh, and Cody Haubrich, Zone Director Sales, Western Canada, for their dedication to mentoring young talent and fueling passion for automotive excellence.
