For several years, Debbie Imhof has been working with non-profit organizations (NPOs), which focus on raising environmental awareness. Her career began as a Patrouilleuse Eau Secouriste (Water First Aid Patroller), an experience that allowed her to acquire a solid foundation in the sector.  

A graduate with a passion for the environment 

Debbie Imhof completed a bachelor’s degree at Université du Québec à Montréal (sustainable development, environmental sciences, sustainable energy resources). Recently, she was accepted into a program at Université de Montréal to specialize in public health, with a particular interest in global environmental health.  

Joining SOGHU 

After serving as a project officer and environmental technician at Nature-Action Québec in 2023 and 2024, Debbie Imhof continued her commitment to environmental organizations. She had previously worked for Village Monde as a global and environmental citizenship education officer. 

Since February 2025, she has held a permanent position at the Société de gestion des huiles usées du Québec (SOGHU) as an administrative assistant and environmental advisor.  

A project of interest 

Developing the idea of circular economy and its impact on the automotive industry is one of her professional goals. She is also interested in projects that involve maximizing the recovery of vehicles.
