EVs and the Four Ps of Marketing

In business, the four “Ps”—product, place, promotion, and price—remain fundamental, especially as shops adapt to servicing high-voltage vehicles, or “xEVs” (HEV, PHEV, BEV, EV-RE, FCEV, PFCEV).

The first “P,” product, means offering trustworthy service and care. Every customer interaction counts; integrity builds loyalty, while dishonesty can harm the entire industry.

The second, place, goes beyond your physical location. It includes your shop’s appearance, website, social media, uniforms, and vehicles—all shaping how customers feel about your brand.

Promotion is telling your own story. Educate clients about your expertise, highlight your EV readiness, and stand out without criticizing competitors.

Finally, price remains a challenge. Yet, when the first three Ps are strong, profitability follows. Skilled, motivated, and customer-focused employees make the difference.

EVs are no longer the future—they’re here. Ensuring your business aligns its four Ps around this reality will determine long-term success.
