– CARSTAR, in collaboration with the Toronto Raptors, MLSE LaunchPad, and the LIT (Leaders in Training) Program, welcomed 30 bright young leaders for a behind-the-scenes shop tour at CARSTAR Toronto St. Clair, an afternoon designed to inspire future career paths and open doors into the collision repair industry.
Throughout the afternoon, the youth leaders were immersed in the day-to-day workings of a fully operational collision repair facility, gaining firsthand exposure to a wide range of career opportunities, from auto body and paint technicians, to estimators, customer service reps, and business managers.
The visit served as more than just a tour, it was an interactive and engaging professional development experience, where students had the chance to ask questions, hear real career stories, and connect with professionals in the field.
“Programs like LIT are all about building confidence and leadership in youth,” said Collin Welsh, Senior Director, Ontario Region, CARSTAR Canada. “We’re proud to open our doors and offer real-world exposure to the next generation. Our hope is that these young leaders see the potential within the collision repair industry—not just as a job, but as a career they can grow in.”
“It was a privilege to host such an inspiring group,” said Frank Abate, owner of CARSTAR Toronto St Clair. “Their curiosity, energy, and questions reminded us why investing in youth is so critical to the future of our industry. We’re proud to be part of that journey.”
As CARSTAR continues to drive innovation in collision repair, it also remains committed to fueling the next generation of talent.
