During the first four months of 2026, independent repair shops reported tire-related sales reaching $926, representing a slight increase of 0.6% compared to the same period in 2025.

However, a closer look shows that tire-only sales declined by 1.76%, suggesting possible pressure on this specific segment. Meanwhile, the gross margin on tire sales stands at 22.59%, a key indicator to monitor in a context where profitability can fluctuate despite overall sales growth.

These figures highlight the importance for shops to pay close attention to pricing, volume, and margin management to maintain performance in this strategic segment.
