A cultural institution in the world of tires, the famous Pirelli Calendar has unveiled its 2027 edition in New Delhi. This year, the Italian tire maker turns its lens toward India, its culture, and its everyday bustle.

The project holds special meaning: photographer Avani Rai continues her father’s work, the celebrated Indian photographer Raghu Rai, who died in April 2026 after working on the calendar until his death. She teamed up with Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø, who returned to the lens, to stage a dialogue between the country’s past and present.

On the star side, the edition brings together model, author and host Padma Lakshmi; actress Freida Pinto; model Lakshmi Menon; actress Aditi Rao Hydari; poet Rupi Kaur; and actress Bhavitha Mandava. True to its reputation, the Pirelli Calendar still cannot be purchased: it is reserved for celebrities, influencers and the brand’s top customers.
