In May 2026, Toyota Canada reached a historic milestone, selling 19,403 electrified vehicles — representing 70% of its Canadian sales for the month, the highest share ever achieved. The result marks a 50.3% year-over-year increase and lifts total May sales to 27,704 units, up 4.0% from May 2025. The RAV4 Hybrid, now offered exclusively as an electrified model and assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada’s Woodstock, Ontario, plant, posted its best-ever monthly sales for the second consecutive month, surging 113.3% year-over-year. The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid jumped 277.2%, while the Prius family climbed 70.2%. Toyota also launched sales of its new bZ Woodland BEV this month and recorded its second full month of C-HR electric sales. The results confirm that Toyota’s electrification strategy is gaining powerful momentum across the Canadian market.
