Windsor Powers Up: New EV Parts Plant from Minth and AISIN

This marks Minth’s second major investment in Windsor, following its $300 million EV battery casing factory announced in April, which is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs. The new partnership with AISIN will add hundreds more high-quality positions and strengthen Windsor-Essex’s role as an EV supply chain hub.

AISIN already operates a facility in Stratford supplying Toyota, while Windsor is home to major players such as Stellantis and LG Energy Solution’s $5-billion NextStar battery plant.

According to Invest WindsorEssex and Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens, the latest investment will generate significant ripple effects across the region, further cementing Windsor as Canada’s capital of automotive and mobility innovation.
