Color Compass Corporation continues to expand its operations in Western Canada with the acquisition of Magrath Auto Supply, a well-established supplier serving the collision repair and automotive refinishing industry in the Kelowna, British Columbia area.

Strengthening Its Presence in the Okanagan

Effective September 1, the transaction strengthens Color Compass’s presence in the Okanagan Valley while building on a company that has served the local market for several decades.

Magrath Auto Supply provides automotive refinishing products and represents several Axalta product lines. The company serves collision repair shops as well as other industries requiring specialized coatings.

Continuity for Magrath, Additional Resources for Repair Shops

Color Compass plans to retain the existing team and maintain Magrath’s current business model. However, joining the group is expected to provide the company with access to a broader range of products, programs, training and technical support.

For existing customers, the transaction is therefore intended more as an opportunity to add resources than to fundamentally change the way the company operates.

Continued Consolidation in Distribution

The acquisition is part of an ongoing consolidation trend that continues to reshape the distribution of products and equipment for collision repair shops across Canada.
