Carrossier Certifié Drummondville: Four Generations of Passion and Expertise Driving Excellence

Family-owned Landry Carrossier Certifié Drummondville holds more certifications than any shop in the region. Founded by Louis Landry in 1971, the company is now owned by his son, Jean-Pierre. His wife, Sonia Essiambre, and their daughter, Aryane, also play key roles within the organization.

Discover the four individuals shaping the success and future of this business.

Louis Landry: The Founder

Louis opened Garage L. Landry & Fils in 1971 after beginning his career alongside his own father. In 1994, he expanded the business, and in 2004 he handed over the reins to his son Jean-Pierre, who became the owner.

To this day, Louis remains an active pillar of the Group. Every day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., he oversees logistics, transports parts between shops, runs errands, and assists with customer and vehicle transportation. Over time, his advisory role has evolved naturally as his son has become an accomplished entrepreneur. Louis takes great satisfaction in witnessing the growth of the company he founded, recognizing that Jean-Pierre has been able to achieve ambitions that were not financially possible in earlier years. He values working as a family and proudly sees that the next generation—Jean-Pierre, Sonia, and their daughter Aryane—is firmly established.

“Over the years,” Louis explains, “I’ve realized how important it is to stay active and in shape. Three times a week, despite my busy schedule, I devote time to my passion for golf.”

Jean-Pierre Landry: The Engineer of Growth and Innovation

Jean-Pierre joined the family business in 1991, marking the beginning of a period of expansion. Following expansions in 1994 and 2004, he took over leadership of the company and, in 2013, opened JSA Collision with his wife, Sonia Essiambre. The shop quickly earned recognition for its technical excellence and human-centered approach—two values that remain central to his daily decisions.

Jean-Pierre’s vision is firmly focused on the future: “New technologies inspire me, as do the challenges they represent. I enjoy change and the need to adapt to it,” he explains. He invests heavily in ongoing staff training, including manufacturer certifications such as Tesla, Inc., Volvo Cars, Chevrolet (Corvette), and BMW, providing access to some of the industry’s most demanding repair standards. Committed to building a lasting legacy, he prioritizes innovation, precision, and collaboration.

Landry Certified Collision Drummondville is recognized for its highly skilled team, extensive certifications, and outstanding customer service. Proud of the family journey, the owner is already preparing to open a third facility—an innovative concept dedicated to rapid repairs, designed to meet the needs of an evolving clientele.

Sonia Essiambre: Administrative and Human Pillar

A key figure at Landry Carrossier Certifié Drummondville, Sonia Essiambre has orchestrated the administrative and human management of this family business for over 30 years. As co-owner with her husband since 1994, as well as co-owner of JSA Collision, she embodies the stability, discipline, and team spirit that define the group’s success.

A Long-Standing Personal and Professional Partnership

Responsible for administrative management, Sonia actively contributes to the organization and coordination of the family business. In a relationship with Jean-Pierre Landry for 39 years, she has worked alongside him professionally for 32 years.

Her involvement spans administrative and operational responsibilities as well as the human dimension, making her a true pillar of daily operations. She places strong emphasis on teamwork as a cornerstone of the company’s success.

A Family Dynamic Strengthened Over Time

Versatile in her role, Sonia coordinates the activities of both companies, which together employ 33 staff members, while also managing relationships with insurers and supervising office personnel.

“Working as a family is, in my view, a winning formula,” Sonia explains. “The arrival of our daughter Aryane on the team three years ago has further strengthened this dynamic.”

Aryane Landry: Project Manager

For over three years, Aryane has brought a breath of modernity to the family business. Her role is multifaceted: she supports her father Jean-Pierre in operations and her colleague Martin Vallée in human resources, designs personalized workshop video presentations for clients—a distinctive touch—and standardizes internal procedures to optimize efficiency.

A graduate in accounting and management, with training in automotive estimating and certifications including BMW, Aryane stands out for her listening skills, calm demeanour, determination, and strong work ethic. “I inherited my father’s calm nature and my mother’s dynamic energy, which proves very useful in my work,” she notes.

Driven and hardworking, she aspires to master every aspect of the business, following in her father’s footsteps, while also promoting gender diversity in a predominantly male industry. Aryane believes that a workforce composed of nearly as many women as men fosters equity and diverse personalities, creating a healthy and stimulating work environment. “Some of our employees have been with us for over 25 years—that’s something we’re very proud of. Like my father, I’m an entrepreneur at heart,” she concludes.
