Digitizing to Save Time
In collision repair shops, every minute spent searching for a file or locating a vehicle comes at a cost. That is precisely what the Nexera platform aims to eliminate. This web and mobile solution digitizes the entire operation: real-time vehicle tracking, automatically generated QR codes for each vehicle to provide error-free access to files, and an interactive customer portal that allows customers to track their vehicle, receive SMS notifications, and remotely sign repair authorizations.
Front-End, Back-End: Reinventing Communication
What truly sets Nexera apart from its competitors is the seamless communication it creates between technicians on the shop floor—the back end—and administrative staff in the office—the front end. No more back-and-forth to approve something to be added: a photo taken by a technician is instantly sent to the office, where staff can respond in just a few clicks. Unlike traditional management systems built primarily around an estimate code, Nexera was redesigned starting with the technician. That starting point makes all the difference.
A Solution Born on the Shop Floor
Nexera was born from a very real need. Its creator, François, spent three months on the shop floor at Réal Arcand observing operations and identifying gaps, at a time when eight shops had to be coordinated without any way to track where each vehicle was located. This hands-on immersion led to the creation of a platform designed for and by the people working in the shop. Since then, more than 60 developments have been completed, including features designed to simplify administrative integration, such as transferring data to QuickBooks.
Constantly Evolving in a Competitive Market
Facing competitors such as Body Shop Connect, Mitchell Report Center, and Carrousel, Nexera stands out through its enhanced communication between the shop floor and the office. The platform also manages vehicle transfers between locations for MSOs, eliminating the need to duplicate estimates. Despite persistent resistance to change in some shops that remain attached to traditional methods, Nexera continues to gain ground, one deployment at a time.
