A leader who has advanced automotive service

A sensitive advisor and innovator, Pierre Beaudoin has devoted a large part of his life to improving some of CAA-Québec’s services. His commitment and sense of duty have left their mark on generations of motorists and colleagues.

A career dedicated to excellence

While still a student, Pierre began his career in a small gas station, where he developed a passion for cars and roadside service. It was there that he discovered the core human values that would guide his career, marked by a constant desire to innovate in a field that was still undervalued.

His involvement with CAA-Québec

Since his arrival at CAA-Québec in 1973, Pierre has distinguished himself by his ambition to improve member services. He worked there for 43 years, successively holding the positions of Assistant Director and Director of the Emergency Road Service. In 1998, and until the end of his career (2017), he served as Senior Director of Technical Services.

A visionary at heart, he implemented strategies to facilitate the work of patrollers, especially in extreme cold conditions. In 1995, he developed the first structured training program for the roadside assistance industry in Canada. He also designed the Super Service option to ensure more comprehensive roadside assistance coverage. Pierre has written several technical books and automotive columns. With Clé Verte, he is actively involved in actions that promote the preservation of the environment. He chaired the Table de concertation sur l’environnement for six years.

Values and beliefs

Pierre Beaudoin is firmly convinced that the success of a company depends above all on its employees. He values courtesy and professionalism, which are essential to quality service. He also actively advocates for strengthening the network of contacts between auto repair shop owners, which helps them to be more competitive.

An inspiring legacy

A respected figure in the automotive industry, Pierre Beaudoin remains a model of professionalism and caring. His values continue to inspire those who have had the chance to work alongside him, as well as the younger generations.

Now retired, he teaches alpine skiing, continuing his desire to pass on his knowledge.
