Jozée Poulin: The “Conductor” Behind Groupe Fortin

A Steady Rise in a Transforming Industry

Jozée Poulin joined Fix Auto in 2005 as a liaison agent and quickly took on additional responsibilities, balancing internal communications, human resources, and accounting. She represents a generation of managers who worked their way up through the automotive industry by learning on the job—steadily and consistently—until she became one of the key administrative pillars of Groupe Fortin.

Today, she serves as Director of Corporate Entities, a strategic position that requires both precision and strong interpersonal skills. She oversees 19 companies and coordinates the work of liaison agents, supported by a close-knit management team consisting of a controller, three administrative assistants, and herself. Together, they manage the accounting and human resources functions for all Groupe Fortin locations.

A Mission Built on Patience and Guidance

Her daily challenge is to harmonize practices across the entire organization. To achieve this, she works to standardize accounting procedures, centralize operational processes, and support employees in adopting digital tools that help them complete their work more effectively.

“Not to mention,” she adds, “that insurers and dealerships now require an overwhelming amount of information: vehicle identification numbers (VINs), mileage, multiple supporting documents for warranty claims… It’s a growing administrative burden that extends turnaround times and makes day-to-day management more complex.”

A Strong and High-Performing Team

After 21 years in the industry, Jozée Poulin has no desire to reinvent her role. Instead, she continues her work with the same methodical consistency that has defined her career from the very beginning.

She concludes our conversation with quiet confidence: “My team is strong, well organized, and the addition of a financial controller has further strengthened our organization. Mr. Fortin is always looking for new opportunities, and we are ready to continue our expansion.”
