A respected figure in the automotive parts industry, Marc Beaudoin built his career on strong values: integrity, loyalty, and respect for customers. From his early days in his family garage to passing down his business to his daughter Caroline, his journey reflects a rare consistency in a constantly evolving industry.
A beginning deeply rooted in the family business
Marc entered the trade at a very young age, working alongside his father in a garage where he learned the fundamentals of service and business. This early immersion led him to manage a parts store under the ATLAS banner, a pivotal step that introduced him to a rapidly expanding national network.
After ATLAS was sold in 1993, he briefly joined McKerlie Millen before returning to entrepreneurship. In 1995, he opened his NAPA store in Sherbrooke, which he would run for 15 years. In 2010, he handed over leadership to his daughter Caroline, who continued the business until it was sold to GGM in 2025. Now retired, Marc reflects on his career with quiet pride.
Outstanding performance
Among his most notable achievements, Marc highlights his years at ATLAS, where he consistently ranked first or second in tire sales in Canada — a remarkable accomplishment for a Sherbrooke store competing among more than 50 locations.
His leadership style was rooted in encouragement, team cohesion, and recognition of well-done work. His results earned him offers to manage operations in Montreal and Toronto, which he declined in order to remain loyal to his region.
Honesty above all
Honesty has been the guiding principle throughout Marc Beaudoin’s career. “When people trust you, you can’t let them down,” he says. For him, the automotive parts industry is built on long-term relationships grounded in respect.
He always knew how to adapt his approach to each customer: a joke to break the ice, a moment of restraint when needed, or honest advice even when it meant losing a sale.
A lesson for the next generation
Marc concludes with certainty: “Trust is not something you claim — it’s something you earn. And it is what keeps the automotive parts business running.”
